Because Confession at Church is too Mainstream

Everyone has secrets, and often, people take these secrets to the graves. New Orleans based artist Candy Chang gives people a chance to share those secrets and confess them anonymously; releasing the burden off their shoulders. The installation dubbed “The confessions“ is a public art project which took place in Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada. For a course of one moth the gallery was transformed into a giant confession stand where people would come and write down their confessions. Chang then took the anonymous slips and displayed them on the wall meanwhile painting the selected ones against a red canvas background.
