Ontario Man Builds Colourful Ice Fort in His Backyard
Daytime high temperature in north-western Ontario averaged at -25 degree Celsius or colder throughout the December, 2013. Forsaken by his outdoor activities, Chris Marchand, started freezing hundreds of ice blocks in 8-litre plastic shoebox. He used food coloring to give the blocks an alluring look.

At the rate of 30 bricks per day, Marchand started stocking them in his driveway for a month until it reaches all the bricks he needed to build the boundary of a 25′ x 25′ fort. It took him six nights work at -30 degree Celsius to erect the boundary.

After a month’s hard work, Marchand’s ice fort completed on January 5, 2014. Friends and neighbours came over to enjoy a break in the cold and, of course, the fireworks! [images via: imgur] [Source: reddit]
